Private Label to Retail & Outsourcing to Virtual Assistants – The Amazon Seller Podcast Ep. 18
Getting Your Private Label Product Into Retail
Why go into retail? Isn’t Amazon number 1? Well, yes! But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t other opportunities out there. Liran Hirschkorn explains that he doesn’t want to rely solely on Amazon forever. And because of that, he has been working with a consultant to possibly get one of his private label products into retail stores.
This is one of the advantages of building your own brand. When you have your own private label brand you have the option to expand your sales channels. You are the brand owner and you make the decisions.
Outsourcing & Hiring Virtual Assistants
Are the tasks you’re doing in your business making you $10/hr or $1,000/hr? Too many entrepreneurs and Amazon sellers are selling themselves short. Not realizing that time is our most valuable resource. And while we admit that ‘boot strapping’ may be essential when you are starting out and building capital, outsourcing those $5 – $10/hr tasks can open up a whole new world for your business.
- One way you can free up time in your business is to outsource difficult/expert tasks. For example, we help bring listings to life with amazing images at amazingfreedom.com/magic and help provide account management solutions at reimbursementninja.com. These are tasks that most sellers are unable to easily do themselves.
- A second way to free up time in your business is to hire a virtual assistant that can perform daily tasks for you. We use sites like upwork.com and onlinejobs.ph to find VA’s that can provide a variety of tasks for your business. Many of the VA’s on these sites provide their services for $1 – $10/hr and, in some cases, can perform tasks just as well as you could yourself.
Make efficient use of your time! Hire out the low-earning tasks of your business & the ones you don’t enjoy doing and focus on those tasks that make you the big bucks!
